The Gable House Project is the new house construction project of our senior designer Jennifer Larocque, which will take place during the fall of 2022 and the winter of 2023. A little more about the house...
The GABLE HOUSE (plan no. 3642), a Modern French style home, offers 2660 square feet of living space on two floors. All ceilings are 9' on the ground floor except in the dining room and living room which have a cathedral ceiling at 12'9''. The initial planned foundation is on a slab, however several other foundation options are available ($) if you want a partial or full basement. The 485 square foot garage includes practical storage and the mechanical room.
The sheltered front balcony offers a section with a cathedral ceiling and a corner to set up 2 beautiful reading chairs sheltered from the weather. The front entrance of the house has a large coat closet for guests as well as an office, practical for maintaining privacy and separating office meetings from the family area. An arched ceiling separates the entrance from the living room. This architectural touch is repeated in other areas of the home and is just one of the impressive aesthetic touches provided for this beautiful classic style home plan.
The master bedroom is on the right and is accessed through a small corridor which also has a wall with an arch in the ceiling. A large walk-in closet leading to the private bathroom will delight its occupants! The private bathroom for the parents offers 2 sinks in addition to a bath and a large separate shower.
At the heart of the house is the family area which is bathed in natural light thanks to the imposing window installed in the dining room! In addition, the amplitude brought by the cathedral ceiling to the dining room and living room, as well as a fireplace with built-in furniture on each side, make this area a place of choice to entertain family and friends. To add pleasure to your moments of relaxation, we have planned a large sheltered terrace at the back, large enough to accommodate a BBQ, smoking room, dining room and living room!!
The superb kitchen (see photos!!) offers an imposing central island that can easily accommodate 4 to 5 guests, as well as a 9'2'' x 5'8'' pantry and an area provided for a 2nd refrigerator. A large mudroom is attached to the pantry and located opposite the entrance to the garage, convenient for quickly storing groceries! Finally, a shower for dogs is provided in the laundry room.
Upstairs you will find 2 good sized bedrooms, a shower room, a small living room (or games room or bedroom #4) as well as a secret room for children! Enough to entertain your little ones for hours!!!
The GABLE HOUSE aims to be the perfect home for a growing young family! Several versatile spaces allow different configurations that will follow the evolution of your family! Den, playroom, additional bedroom, all this is possible in this warm and inviting house!

The transition between the entrance and the living room is made by an elegant wall with an arch in the ceiling. There are also arches in other places of the house.
All floors on the ground floor are 9' high with the exception of the living room ceiling which is 12'9''.
The parents' bedroom offers a large walk-in closet as well as a bathroom with 2 sinks and a separate bath and shower.
The kitchen is open to the living room and has a pantry. The latter communicates with the cloakroom which is located opposite the entrance to the garage.
The living room and dining room have a cathedral ceiling.
In the living room there is a fireplace as well as built-in furniture on each side.
The laundry room includes a shower for dogs.
Upstairs there are 2 secondary bedrooms, a shower room, a playroom (small living room or bedroom #4) and a secret room (for children).
A large sheltered rear terrace of 22'8'' x 14'8'' allows the development of a dining room and a living room.
A single garage with storage and mechanical room complete this beautiful and elegant home.
