Our ready-to-build blueprint packages: 3 and 5 sets

Several ready-to-build blueprint packages are available for all our models, including a variety of paper copies (blueprint) and PDF and CAD electronic versions, if you want to send your plan to your suppliers or trades by email.

The 5-copy package is available for all our house designs and includes your plans in PDF format.

Note that the 3 copy blueprint package is only available for our garage plans.

Several à la carte options are also available : foundation types, construction specifications, plan language, BCIN certification for Ontario, plan modifications requested online or at one of our 30 regional offices, and more.

Our house plans are available in :

Some foundation options are also available for the majority of our plans such as finished basement (finished basement rooms, family room, office or other), floating slab, monolithic slab, crawl space and walkout basement).

Our detached garage plans are available in :

Some foundation options are also available, as well as our additional services such as a materials list, cost of construction estimate, a reverse option of the plan, metric version, and choice of languages: English or French.

How many sets of blueprints do I need ?

You will need several copies of your plan for the various following stakeholders on your construction:

Your contractor (1 to 2 copies)
Financial institution (1 copy)
Municipality for building permit (1 copy)
Electrician, Plumber, Ventilation, Security (2-4 copies)
Designer, decorator and others (if needed)
Yourself for future reference (1 to 2 copies)

The « 5 printed copies + PDF » will cover the majority of your needs. You can also order additional copies for a fee and the PDF version allows you to produce additional copies at no extra cost. Our plans are not exchangeable or refundable and are protected by copyright law.

PDF house plans and PDF garage plans

Order your PDF house plan or PDF garage plan today and save time and money!

The "PDF file format - original plan size" is an electronic document identical to the construction blueprint set, which will be sent to you by email. The purchase of this version entitles you to make up to fifteen (15) copies of your plan at no additional cost (you will receive a licence for this purpose), in a plan reproduction center in your area. Note that the PDF version does not contain a seal so make sure the municipality of your construction site does not require a seal.

The print size of your plan prints will be either 18" x 24" or 24" x 36", depending on the initial format used by our designers, and is normally based on the size of the house or garage you have selected. Because the PDF plan will be sent to you by email, you will save on the shipping costs.

Just like buying a paper plan, buying a plan in PDF format allows you to build one (1) home for yourself, and does allow you to modify the plan. If any modifications are required, it is recommended that they be made by our professional technologists to avoid the costs and potential errors made on site without a plan.

Plans in AutoCAD format

A house plan in AutoCAD electronic format, with dimensions, is a digital version that allows you to make several copies of the plan and /or make modifications. Purchasing this version entitles you to make up to fifteen (15) copies of your plan (as-is or modified) at no additional licencing fee, at a plan reproduction center in your area (you will receive a licence for this purpose).

The print size of your plans will be 18" x 24" or 24" x 36", depending on the initial format used by our designers, which is normally based on the size of the house, multi-house unit, cottage or garage chosen. The AutoCAD plan will be sent to you by email thus saving you any shipping costs.

As with any version of our collections, the purchase of an AutoCAD electronic plan entitles you to build one (1) house for yourself. Although the AutoCAD electronic version allows you to make adjustments or modifications to your plan, it is recommended that your modifications be made by a Drummond House Plans professional technologist. Consult one of our 30 regional offices for more information on changing plans, or visit the modification service section on this site.

At no time will Drummond House Plans be held responsible for any changes to its plans, if these changes are not made by a Drummond House Plans professional technologist.

What is a multiple-build (or re-use) licence?

A multiple-build licence are mainly for single-family home builders or developers who want to build more than one house from the same plan. If you are a new home builders and are planning to build more than one house with the sale plan, you will require a licence for building multiple homes from a single plan. Please contact us as we have special packages available for multi-build licences and many more discounts and advantages for home builders.
