The BONZAI 2 mini cottage plan (plan #1909-V1) is a slightly enlarged version of its base plan BONZAI plan (plan #1909-BH). This new version offers 764 sq. ft. on the main floor and the same size on the garden level, for a total of 1528 sq. ft. laid out on these 2 floors.
Designed for a waterfront lot or mountain area, the rear elevation is offeres many windows and two covered terraces. The entire rear area, both on the ground floor and on the garden level, includes common areas such as the kitchen, the family room and the living room. All these rooms are bathed in natural light coming from the patio doors.
The compact format of this small chalet-style house offers beautiful flexible spaces that will accommodate all the members of your family. Should you wish to, you could convert the kitchen table into an island, and the living room on the ground floor into a dining room. If you like to entertain and cook, this option could be very interesting! Not to mention that a wine cellar is also planned in this area... perfect for parties!
Two bedrooms and a bathroom are on the ground floor, while the 3rd bedroom is on the lower floor, and adjacent to the 2nd bathroom. A large family room, a laundry room with storage, as well as a games room area are also planned on the lower floor.
The highlights of this plan are certainly the fireplace on the main floor between the kitchen and the living room, as well as the wood stove located in the basement in the family room. For a warm and cozy atmosphere, there is nothing better!
