Inspired by the Maple Way (plan # 3287) house plan, our Maple Way-Eco is a revisited version. The windows have been revised to make it a passive solar house.
Best suited for a southern backyard orientation, we have kept the defining features of the original plan while offering new, more optimal and eco-friendly ideas. The house has been reversed to maximize the natural light and also to avoiding overheating. Two separate entries can be found in this plan: one accessible from the front for visitors, and another accessible via the double garage to facilitate daily life.
At the back of the house, we find the main living areas sure to be bathed in soothing sunlight as well as a covered terrace to the southwest. The living room being one of the great features of this home has windows on three sides as well as a 10'-0'' high ceiling. To the east of the house, there is an impressive master suite with a large walk-in closet separating the bathroom from the bedroom. To conclude, we also find on this same floor another bedroom, an office, an independent laundry room and a spare bathroom.
*Finished basement (optional $):
In the basement there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, a large storage area, a gym and a home theater room.

*If you wish to purchase the finished basement plan, as presented on this plan page, please select this option in the shopping cart, in the "Selection of foundation type" section. If you do not select this option, you will receive the unfinished full basement option, at no extra charge.
This house plan is part of our "Eco-friendly house plan collection" and here is what distinguishes all the plans included in this selection:
Sun: The orientation of the house according to the sun’s daily path, combined with the thermal capture of the sun's rays using optimal fenestration, minimizing heating costs and maximizing the presence of natural light.
Simplicity: A house with modest volumes ensuring simplified construction, while favoring the maximization of interior spaces, to reduce the number of square feet and the construction cost.
Sound Mind & Body: A home designed to promote the well-being and health of its occupants by being well ventilated, using durable and non-toxic materials (steel, wood, lightweight cladding, fiber cement, among others) and maximizing natural light.
