1) The use of LVLs instead of the steel in the living room is not recommended. We usually use wood but the steel beam has been used in this case because it is the best choice but you are welcome to check with your floor truss manufacturer.
2) Steel, although more costly is the better option in this case
3) The floor truss manufacturer?s engineer will need to provide the design with which the framer will attach them to the steel beam
4) Once again, the engineering expertise of your floor truss manufacturer will be the best source

This plan includes a slab foundation which means that there is no basement.
If you require a different foundation it is available as an option. All you need to do is to request it at the time of order or fill in our on line modification form, for which I have attached the link
