Affordable open floor plan cabin house plan, for all seasons! 3 beds, 3 baths
This quaint cottage would be perfectly at home on a sloping lot with water or hillside views.
An efficient square design of 28’ x 28’, this model was inspired by model 3929 with adjusted floor plan and entries. The main entry includes a vestibule with closet and space for seating. Adjoining this, one finds a conveniently located bathroom with shower and laundry – perfect for cleaning up after enjoying the outdoors!
The main living area includes an open plan with kitchen, island with raised eating bar, and living room – all bathed in light from windows on three sides. Chilly days are warmed by the central fireplace and garden doors beckon family and guests into the sheltered screen porch or onto the wraparound deck.
Upstairs, the master bedroom includes a master bathroom with generous shower. Two other bedrooms share a powder room for essential convenience.
An unfinished basement with walk-out is ready for your ideas now or in the future.

Actually I'm inquiring about the distance between the two windows on each side of both the dining room and the living room. For example: if the distance or wall space between each window is 5', 6' or 7' in order to determine how much room there might be for a dining hutch in dining room and an entertainment console / tv stand in the living room area, if those furniture pieces are placed between the windows.

Good day Ms. Frey
The distance between the 2 windows is 4' 2" and we can potentially increase it to 5' 0"
Hope this helps

Wondering what the distance / measurement is between the 2 windows on each side of both the dining room area and living room area. Also if it would be possible to get this downstairs floorplan, minus the fireplace, with the upstairs floorplan of W3929 but with 2 master bedrooms instead of 3?

Customer service
Good day Ms. Frey and thank you for your interest in this plan.
If you are inquiring about the width of the molding between the panes, this will depend on the windows that you choose so the manufacturer of the windows will be your best resource for this information.
The changes that you require to the floor plan are possible and we would be happy to send you a free estimate within two business days after receipt of this on line request
Please let me know if I can further assist you

How would the layout change if the fireplace was eliminated?

Good day Ms. Frey and thank you for taking the time to write.
Eliminating the fireplace would give more space in the living room and open up the stairwell upstairs.

Does plan 3929,with walk-out basement. Is any excavating needed for this type of basement; or does a walk-out basement sits on top of the ground as it appears in the picture? this is a nice plan, will suit my needs. thank you

Good day and thank you for your interest in this plan.
Although the walk-out basement is usually designed for a lot that slopes from front to back it can be used on a relatively flat lot. Some digging would be required otherwise the front part of the home will be still under ground. This plan could however be ordered with a full basement that does not have a walk-out or on a slab or crawl space if that is a more convenient option.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or comments.
