Jean-François Dupuis
Immersed in the construction world since his birth, Jean-François (JF as we all like to call him) only felt the calling following a combination of circumstances at the end of high school. Intuition or courage, he embarked his college studies in architecture somewhat by chance, hoping to find the spark he was looking for and make a career out of it. Once his college diploma in hand, it was the start of a wonderful love story!
Jean-François is not an ordinary guy and doesn't like ordinary architecture so necessarily, his designs must be out of the ordinary! He likes styles that stand out due to volume, sometimes exaggerated, and also due to the textures and mixes of various materials. His favorite style of architecture is none other than that brought by Frank Lloyd Wright, the great initiator of the mid-century style house movement of the 20th century.
When it's time to think about interior design plans for his customers, JF favors open floor plans, which he says encourages communication between family members. The decompartmentalization of rooms is a valuable asset for helping to preserve family values and encourages exchanges with family and friends. Being a very sociable person, we can easily guess that his own home is an open concept one!
Strong built, Jean-François also enjoys sports and is not afraid to get his hands dirty! Being from a family of entrepreneurs, he never hesitates to lend a helping hand on construction sites of his family and friends! He’s also built 2 new homes himself and has also gone through the stages of renovating a home or his family as well.
From a technical point of view and given his "on site" experience, Jean-Francois is someone that is able to support and advise you on the different choices linked to your house plan project. He has a great ability to optimize interior spaces because he loves everything that is technical and of course, enjoys the conceptualizing the very first preliminary plan. For a home that meets your needs and expectations both in terms of budget and efficiency, you are in the best of hands with JF!
Marie Payen
Meet Marie Payen | Curiosity, Balance & a Passion for Home Design
From an early age, Marie Payen has been surrounded by the world of construction, design, and architecture. Her path has naturally led her to explore décor stores, study building trends, and fall in love with the art of residential architecture and everything that makes a house feel like a home.
Having lived in both France and Canada, Marie has a unique appreciation for how differently beauty and craftsmanship are expressed from one place to another. While she finds something to admire on each side of the Atlantic, she admits with a smile that Québec wins by a small margin for its warmth and creativity.
Marie is drawn to farmhouse and Scandinavian styles, which blend simplicity, coziness, and functionality. Among her many favorite Drummond House Plans’ models are the Hudson, Strom, Kayla, Gable House 2, Koa, and Carolina — each chosen for their sense of harmony, charm, and modern comfort.
As a wife and mother, Marie believes that a well-designed home starts with functionality: a spacious kitchen, an inviting family room, a generous pantry, and a convenient laundry area. She also admits that her personal dream home would include a home gym and a garage that stays snow-free in winter!
Before joining Drummond House Plans in 2021, Marie lived in France, where she purchased and renovated several homes, including transforming a farmhouse into her family residence and converting properties into rental units.
Now part of the Drummond House Plans team, Marie loves helping clients find the perfect plan, searching through hundreds of models to uncover the one that truly fits their lifestyle and dreams.
Her favorite saying sums her up perfectly:
“When there’s a will, there’s a way — and when there’s a dream, there’s a home to create.”
Mélodie Brunet
Meet Melodie Brunet | Passion, Creativity & an Eye for Detail
From an early age, Melodie Brunet has been fascinated by the art of architecture and the great masterpieces built throughout history. As a child, she loved watching documentaries about the wonders of the world, captivated by what humans could create with vision, creativity, and craftsmanship.
Growing up in a family passionate about old homes and renovations, Melodie was immersed in the world of design and construction from a young age. Surrounded by restoration projects and inspired by the beauty of traditional materials, she naturally developed a deep appreciation for architecture, aesthetics, and functionality.
Mélodie holds a Technical Diploma in Architecture from the Seminaire de Sherbrooke, a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Montreal, and a certificate in entrepreneurship. This unique blend of training allows her to combine analytical thinking, creativity, and a human-centered approach to residential design — creating spaces that are both inspiring and deeply livable.
Her favorite architectural styles include modern farmhouse, Scandinavian, and rustic, each celebrated for their warmth, balance, and timeless charm. Among her favorite Drummond House Plans’ home plans are the River Run, Pinot, and Carolina, all reflecting her love for simple yet elegant living spaces.
For Melodie, designing a home begins long before the first line is drawn. She believes that a truly successful project starts with a thoughtful understanding of each client’s needs, lifestyle, and aspirations — transforming ideas into a harmonious and functional reality.
Curious, creative, and full of energy, Melodie Brunet loves photography, reading, and spending time outdoors. Known for her sense of humor and her warmth, she brings a personal touch to every project and to every client relationship.
“For an architectural work to be beautiful, all its elements must possess harmony in position, dimensions, form, and color.” — Antoni Gaudí
